The high school ranks as one of the top in Essex County. Additionally, South Orange is also a college town, home to Seton Hall University, a private Catholic University that was named in 2021 as one of the best colleges by US News & World Report.
Year-round activities. This is a nature lover's dream. There's so much to do in the outdoors such as visiting some of the many parks around South Orange, sports fields, and winter activities such as ice-skating on Duck Pond or sledding at Floods Hill. With trails and parks, stunning views on the South Mountain Reservation, the beautiful 25 foot Hemlock Falls, outdoor activities, events, and festivals are endless. South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) is a fantastic destination with theater, music, art, dance, and many other forms of entertainment.
